Mimetic Desire

Mimetic Desire is a performative concert shown at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, unfolding through voice, light, and space. Inspired by René Girard’s concept of mimetic desire, the work explores how longing emerges through imitation.

Using atonal guitar drone by Daniel Gianfranceschi, feedback, and improvised voice, the performance centers on breath as both sound and movement. A single cable becomes a sculptural connection between body, instrument, and space. The exhibition space responds as an active, resonant field—where intuition, sound, and attention form a shifting acoustic and spatial choreography.
