Informal Instant

The performance extends the composition developed for the exhibition Listening Across Time at Kunstverein Ingolstadt and transforms it, in the live moment, into an autonomous spatial and temporal experience. Live synthesizer orchestration, choral vocal structures grounded in the text of the poem Informal Instant, and the body as a sensorial medium converge in a dynamic interplay of sound, movement, and space.

At the centre of the performance is Momentum, a large pendulum microphone suspended within precisely articulated openings in the foyer architecture that channel daylight deep into the building. Here, the recurring sound sculpture shifts from a graphic and architectural intervention into a moving spatial composition. Activated as a pendulum, the microphone traces a gesture through space, rendering sound visible and material. The cable becomes a drawing line – movement generates tension, and tension takes form.

Texture, timbre, movement, and transformation become catalysts for new forms of perception and meaning-making, where sound does not merely occupy space but becomes sculpture.
