In Orbit

In Orbit unfolds through three variations, each opening a distinct perspective on movement and perception. By exploring a corporeal pull—an attraction guided by improvisation—the work constructs a cinematic choreography in which an interplay of impulses between camera, sound, and dancer emerges. Space is translated into rhythm, body motion into sound, creating a perceptual field where time becomes a bodily experience.
The film material itself becomes visible, oscillating between dissolution and distortion. With each repetition, the interplay of dance, camera, and sound sinks deeper into a self-contained rhythm, until the sense of linear time begins to unravel and the film starts to question its own temporality. The language of movement reflects on impulse and gravity, exploring the larger framework that sustains bodies in motion, while the camera’s proximity frames the dancing body within an intimate space, drawing the viewer into a perceptual experience in which time transforms into bodily sensation.
